And if memory serves I’m addicted to words and they’re useless (in this department)
A collection of the poetry I've posted on Substack thus far
Only the REAL pop punk girlies(nb) can name that title tune! 👀
Anyhow. Q2 specifically felt intense. Especially the beginning. Q1 rounded out with some rougher moments and I felt the impact into Q2 and as it turned out April, May, & June (shit AND July and August now that we here lmfao) had hands too! But you know what I did a ton of? Resting. Like maybe halfway into May my body said that we need to slow down and I… listened. And I’m so proud of myself because it was HARD! There is always a lot to do. I have so many goals, years of struggle I am unlearning a need to validate, and such a strong sense of self-assurance about my future… moving forward constantly feels like the only way sometimes. And yet, we took some time to release some art (shout out Poetry Month) and then we CHILLED. And I’m so glad. I was able to figure out where I was at toward the end and really check-in with myself. I was also able to ideate and inspire myself to do more offloading than downloading this summer (now that we’re here, we didn’t offload as much but we did remain steadfast in downloading less and I’m grateful for that) and fall (we’ll bring home the offloading this round). To that end though I thought it would be cool to link every poem I’ve dropped on this account thus far (with hopefully more to come soon!):
beats of the southern wild (I still need to rewatch this!)
Ayyyyeeee 22 is SUCH a good number (IYKYK)! I think one day, maybe when I have like 50+ poems that I really enjoy and some short essays that serve as like prose poetry, I would love to throw together a real collection #manifesting
Thanks for reading/hearing me, y’all!
